My attraction to nature and plants can be explained in the same way as my attraction to the built environment. We superseded nature by our built habitat and then we put it back into our spaces in little pots with soil in it. Orchids are the typical example for that, except that fact this plant is not even a native spice of the climate I’m living in. I have many of them and I’m always trying to keep it alive again and again.  But what is this obsession?

If we look at the human environment, we see regular, geometric shapes of buildings, furniture and vehicles. Organic forms, on the other hand, are irregular and are in constant movement and change. Life is irregular! When I paint fragile, fleeting flowers, it connects me with our very nature.
